The Zuo Bao Yi Gui

The magnificent archaic bronze on display here was an exceptionally rare four-legged example of the ritual food vessel known as a gui. It boasts extraordinary provenance: from the imperial collection of the well known and well admired Qianlong Emperor. The provenance of the gui and the history of the Emperor was an elemental component of its value, and the supportive history needed to be displayed beautifully in the exhibition space.
